The institution started with the donation of about 4.74 acres of land by the then Vittal Sovereign Sri Ravivarma Krishnaraja who was the president of Vittal Vidya Sangha. Along with the king Sri Devasya Narayana Bhat the Correspondent and Sri Urimajalu Venkappayya, the secretary promoted the Institution.
